Inspired by the Zeeland coast, the work captures the experience of a coastal walk from Oostkapelle towards Domburg. Along the dunes, the sky seems to stretch endlessly around you, while the wind continually reshapes the clouds. In the distance, glimpses of the sea open between the dunes, creating a sense of space, movement and quiet.
A contemporary interpretation of the Zeeland landscape, the painting brings together natural textures, changing light and the expansive character of the coast.

Each natural oyster shell is sustainably collected from the shores of Zeeland, where it is carefully cleaned, prepared, and individually hand-painted by me. The shell is mounted on a heavily textured canvas, that depicts a contemporary seascape handpainted with acrylic paints.
The natural oyster seashell is painted pearl white and varnished as well as canvas.
A faux pearl has been carefully incorporated into the design.
Thanks to its compact size, this artwork is perfect for adding a refined artistic accent to smaller spaces such as a kitchen, bathroom, hallway, bedroom, or as part of a gallery wall.
