My Journey

I live in Oostkapelle, Zeeland, where I balance life as an artist, the mother of an energetic young son, and the wife of a Zeeuw.

My artistic path began with a simple desire: to create work that speaks to people on a deeper level—art that anchors positive feelings and brings a sense of calm and connection. Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by contrasts: softness and strength, stillness and movement, nature and human-made spaces, simplicity and complexity. These contrasts continue to find their way into my paintings.

Several important life experiences deepened my relationship with art and creativity. During those times, painting became a space for reflection, personal growth, and renewal. It taught me patience, trust, and the ability to embrace uncertainty. It also helped me discover beauty in everyday moments and develop a deeper sense of presence.

Each painting carries something of that ongoing search for truth, balance, peace, and meaning.

Artist & Designer

For many years, I worked as an interior designer and visual merchandiser. These experiences taught me how colour, light, texture, and objects influence the way we feel in a space.

Over time, painting became more than a creative practice. It became a way of exploring personal growth, authenticity, and the relationship between people and their surroundings. My aim is to create works that bring a sense of calm, depth, and beauty into everyday life.

Each painting emerges from a place of stillness, concentration, and observation. The creative process itself is a form of meditation.

Artistic Background

I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Poland, where I studied interior design alongside painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital arts.

Part of my education took place at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Lecce in Italy, where I received a scholarship in painting and scenography. Living and studying in Italy was a formative experience that strengthened my knowledge about Mediterranean culture, craftsmanship, distinctive light, and my own Italian heritage.

Together, these experiences provided both a strong classical foundation and the freedom to develop my own artistic voice.

My Work

Now from my studio in Zeeland, I create paintings using acrylics, inks, layered textures, and mixed-media techniques.

Nature and personal growth are my greatest sources of inspiration. Landscapes, changing skies, water, light, and organic forms often find their way into my work. While some paintings remain connected to recognizable landscapes, others move toward abstraction, focusing more on atmosphere and feeling than on place.

I work mindfully and intuitively, building layers over time until the painting finds its own balance. Texture plays an important role, inviting the viewer to experience the work from different angles and discover new details over time.

Whether displayed in a home, hotel, or public space, my paintings are created to bring a sense of calm, warmth, and contemplation.

Collecting the Work

Original art has a unique presence. The depth of colour, subtle textures, and interaction with changing light create an experience that cannot be fully captured in photographs or digital reproductions.

Collectors often tell me that the paintings reveal new details over time and that they enjoy living with them every day. For me, that is one of the most rewarding aspects of creating art: knowing that a painting can become a meaningful part of someone’s environment and daily life.

Commissions

I also create commissioned artworks for private homes, hospitality projects, and commercial interiors.

Thanks to my background in interior design, I enjoy working closely with clients, designers, and architects to create paintings that feel naturally connected to a space. Together, we can explore size, colour palette, atmosphere, and materials to develop a piece that is both personal and harmonious within its setting.
