Saint Jacobs Sea Shell in a box frame

A natural large Saint Jacob’s shell, hand-painted with acrylics to create a soft ombré transition from gold to black and finished with delicate accents of gold leaf. To enhance the sculptural quality of the piece, a textured white background was prepared on board.

The entire installation has been sealed with protective varnish. The shell was then mounted onto the prepared surface using professional construction adhesive and framed in a deep box frame.

This artwork can be displayed hanging on the wall or standing freely on a table or shelf.

This piece combines natural textures with contemporary finishing techniques, creating a small-scale object that sits between painting and sculpture.
